Itwasabrightspringday.Thesunwashighinthebluesky.Aherdofsheepwasgrazingcontentedlyonthehillside.Thelittlelambswiththeirsoftwhitecoatsandcurlytailswereplayingamongthemselves.TheShepherd,seeingthathisflockwassafeandhappy,hadfallenasleepunderthespreadingbranchesofalargeoldtree.

那是一个晴朗的春天。蓝天下的太阳很高。一群羊在山坡上惬意地吃草。小羊羔穿着柔软的白大衣和卷曲的尾巴，在他们中间嬉戏。牧羊人看到他的羊群安然无恙，就在一棵大树的枝条下睡着了。

突然，一只鹰从空中俯冲下来。它扑向一只小羊羔，迅速地把它叼走，其他羔羊都没有时间咩咩叫。睡着的牧羊人什么也没听见。

一只乌鸦坐在树上，牧羊人睡在树下。他看到鹰是如何抓住羔羊并把它带到窝里去的。

多么美妙的晚餐方式啊！他想。乌鸦为什么寻找老臭的食物？’

乌鸦决定像鹰那样做。看起来很简单。他所要做的就是决定他想要哪只羊，猛扑下来，紧紧抓住它的爪子，然后飞走。

如果鹰能做到，那么他也能做到！

乌鸦低头看着羊群来决定他想要哪只羊。

在牧羊人的正下方，一只又大又老的公羊正在吃草。他有卷曲的犄角和厚重的羊毛。

啊哈！他应该是我的一顿美餐！贪婪地想着乌鸦。他非常饿，想到午餐吃了一大口多汁的公羊，他就垂涎三尺。

乌鸦悄悄地飞快地跳到公羊身上，就像他看到鹰做的那样，用它的毛紧紧抓住它。

“现在飞到我的巢里去，”乌鸦对自己说。他使劲地拍打翅膀，但举不起那只公羊。

这只公羊很大。他太重了，乌鸦扛不动。乌鸦一次又一次地尝试，但没有成功。

乌鸦想飞走，但他发现他不能动弹。他的爪子被抓在羊的厚毛里！乌鸦以这种方式拉着他的脚。他使劲地拍打翅膀。但不管他做了什么，他似乎只会更加坚定地坚持下去。

哦，他是怎么得到自由的？乌鸦在恐惧和绝望中大声叫喊。公羊怒吼着，开始在树上跑来跑去。牧羊人惊醒了。是谁制造了可怕的噪音？他的羊处于危险之中吗？他坐了起来。

他看到了多么美丽的景象啊！那只公羊在树上跑来跑去。乌鸦的背上，乌鸦叫着，试图飞到空中。

牧羊人笑了起来。最后，他擦了擦眼睛，牧羊人站了起来。他跑过去拦住公羊，用温和的话使他平静下来。

当羊羔静止时，牧羊人从袋子里拿出一把剪刀。他用一只手握住乌鸦，灵巧地剪断了羊毛，直到乌鸦挣脱出来。

“你以为你在干什么呢，我的好朋友？”牧羊人看着乌鸦问道。“玩鹰是吗？”

牧羊人又突然大笑起来。

最后，当牧羊人放走乌鸦时，乌鸦张开翅膀，飞快地飞走了。
